Excitement fills the air as everyone’s favourite forgettable fish is back in action! 13 years after the release of the brilliantly hilarious Finding Nemo, the next underwater tale commences once again. Finding Dory is finally here and due to hit theatres on June 17th. It’s time to get ready for the next deep sea adventure.
In true Root7 fashion, we thought what better way to celebrate the latest Disney Pixar film than… well… make a pungent blue cocktail! Okay, okay, why not three!
Well what are we waiting for let’s get to cocktailing!
Blue Diablo
Yes, the Diablo as the name suggests can be quite the tipsy devil indeed.
What you will need:
- 1 1/4 oz Jose Cuervo Clasico
- 1/4 oz Blue Curacao
- Juice of Half Lime
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- Soda Water
Now it’s time to get to the mixing. Add all these delicious elements together into a cocktail shaker and shake it like a Polaroid picture!

Blue Margarita
Just a simple twist on the blue traditional.
What you will need:
- 2 oz Tequila
- 1 oz Blue Curacao
- 1 oz Triple Sec
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- Salt
Righty-O. Rim your glass with salt. Now add all the ingredients to a shaker/spinner and shake what yo mama gave ya! Carefully strain into a margarita glass and boom.
Blue Lagoon
Last, but not least – The Blue Lagoon.
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Blue Curacao
- 1 oz Lemonade
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- 1 Cherry
Pour your Vodka and Curacao over ice in a highball glass. Fill it with lemonade and top it off with a cherry.
